The scanner interests me, it might allow us to spot zombies without a lab. Probably useless for finding feddies though.

Yeah, that's going to be handy. Once we lock down the ship and confirmed that we either have no zeds on board or murder any that have made it here, it's something we'll want our team in the hanger to have.

I asked Shabooty to head to the armoury and get us both guns, since we're both troopers that get the most use out of it. He'll meet me halfway between engineering and the armoury after I get jdarksun to engineering. Armoury dudes please don't start shooting when he walks in and out!

So just to reiterate, I'd like a gun. I'll take a little one if the soldiers get something better than what they have. Also I can reinforce things with welding right now, so I'm open to ideas of where I should go to help make it harder for hostiles to break in.

So now the question is how do we best minimize the number of scans needed to clear the ship.
Do you know if the scanner functions before or after movement? Because we could get 10 tonight if everyone moves to Corridor 1 that can. Would slow down us getting people to their eventual destinations, but clearing everyone for zombies first might be the best idea.
That would clear: myself, Jason Todd, Slym, Retebra, Mr. Mojo, TRV, Exarch, Shabooty, Bedlam, and Mill.
Somewhat risky, as that's a lot of people to potentially attack him.
Leaving: Jdarksun (2), Mr D (5), Rius (RAD), Thetheroo (POW), Wiet (POW).
Could clear everybody by day 3 (assuming we're all clean), but it would limit what else we can do.
Of course, if we do find a zombie, then we get an "x coins, find the counterfeit" style logic problem. Which wouldn't be too serious to figure out.

I get that everybody wants a gun, but unless you find one laying around the corridor, it's going to take several turns to search enough up. Remember, only two searches per room. Let's stick with a plan like: Suggestion:Com - Jason Todd, enlightenedbum, and SLyM bunker in place. Retaba moves out into 2. Arm - Mr Mojo Risen, TheRoadVirus, and Exarch bunker in place. 1 - Shabooty, Bedlam, and Mill move into the Hangar. 2 - jdarksun moves into 3. Pow - Thetheroo moves into 2, Wiet move into 3. Rad - Rius moves to Corridor 5. 5 - Mr D waits for Rius. It gets everybody into (or near) important locations, with most folk grouped into conveniently scannable packages.
